Icebear, Waste Not Want Not

Originally commissioned for Valgeir Sigurðsson Greenhouse in Iceland, Icebear is a limited edition fur made from pelt scraps in 10 shades on arctic white. Really? There are that many shades of white? In addition there are also special variations in black, brown and albino (which I thought was white). The entire fur is made from sheepskin scraps, 15 to be exact – normally tossed out. They’re arranged and sewn together to look like a butchers diagrammatic poster identifying different cuts... (more...)
